The Cyprus film days 2008 Film Festival is on. The festival runs from the 25th of February until the 2nd of March, 2008 and screens movies mostly from Europe and Asia.
“For the third consecutive year, «Cyprus Film Days» is attempting a more complete and characteristic depiction of the international film scene. And since the past year was dedicated to Europe – more specifically to Romania – it was decided to include the film “4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days” by Cristian Mungiu which deservedly won the Palm d’ Or at the Cannes Film Festival. This surprising win is a powerful, harsh portrayal of life under the Ceausescu regime.”
The movies are screened at Rialto Theatre (Limassol), Pantheon Art Cinema (Nicosia) and at Cine Studio (Nicosia).
