Venice project (Skype’s relative)

Janus Friis, one of the two co-founders of KaZaA and Skype (the other being Niklas Zennstrom) has recently opened up on their new project codenamed “The Venice Project”. According to Friis, their new project is focusing on bringing the best of TV with the best of the Internet.

Maybe a search engine for online TV  streams that would allow you to directly play the content on your computer or your networked TV. Or even share shows you have seen with others…lots of guessing. Maybe a P2P element would be involved too. Like watching the shows with the use of a network like Skype’s. We will keep an eye on Friis’ blog.
